portrait of Grace with white rose and book
This is a new painting. I actually began this piece oer a year ago while still living in Brooklyn. I began working into it again last week. I have been doing some drawings of Shepherd in hopes of a painting to follow but not a lot of sparks there yet. I have been making the backgrounds from old master paintings as references to create a deep sense of place that is not specific but more like some place you are in when you dream. The children continue to be patient with my requests for their poses. Their uique beauty and wonder continues to be a deep pool of inspiration for me.

Hi Rick,
I bought one of your beautiful paintings a couple of years ago and stare at her everyday. i like to wish that she is my daughter (although i know that she is yours). it’s honestly my favorite piece that i own (my husband and i buy more than our walls can hold.)
I just found the wonderful note you sent me back in April of 2006 and I thought I’d look you up again. This peice is beautiful! Where can i visit to see more of your paintings that are for sale?
Very sincerely,
Audra Brown
