Deb Vanpoolen is now living with us. She has made a nest in our basement. It was her birthday this past week and Brenda, Deb and I walked downtown to the Pony to celebrate. It was a beautiful night and we took sketchbooks with us. I did these drawings while Dave Molinari played his music. It was a great night to share with our friends. Our table became an inpromptue art studio complete with a small pizza to share. We are still with out a car and enjoying winter being over and walking places even more a pleasure. The color in these sketches comes out of a Schmincke water color set I bought at the Pearl Paint on Canal street in NYC last year on my birthday. When the sales woman found out it was my birthday she gave me a 25% discount on the paint kit that listed for $99. It has only 12 colors but they are very saturated and it also has a little brush that lis colapsable. I have just recently begun to draw in my sketch books again and it feels good.
