Taking time to rest. My dentist tells me I must be grinding my teeth. She says that it is caused by stress. I am looking for why I may have stress and for ways to let it go. I have been taking naps in the afternoon more regularly lately and it seems to be helping. I want to enter into his rest. Find that quiet place inside no matter what may be going on around me. I think Pearl took this picture.

My dentist recommended I use a splint at night to keep me from grinding my teeth away. The splint is good but it doesn’t answer why I’m grinding my teeth. What is the cause of the stresses that cause this at night? I’ve got plenty of ideas but no simple solutions. Let me know what helps you to de-stress.

Dear Rick:
I wonder if you would like to post my reflection on the painting that you gave me–”Saint Benedict”–on your site.
As I told you last night when we were together, the painting greets me each morning during my solitude and silence and encourages my spiritual discipline of reading the scriptures.
I am so grateful for your creativity, courage, and generosity.
